Please head to the Check-In Desk upon arrival to collect your name badge and printed conference booklet.

It is not possible to pay your registration fees in-person. You can register and pay online here.
Instructions for Preparing Your Presentations
1) Poster Presentations:
For those presenting a poster of their work, please note the following format requirements (please adhere to them):
- Size: A0 (841mm X 1189mm)
- Orientation: Portrait
- Posters will be displayed in the Octagon, Grad Centre Foyer, People’s Palace Foyer, Engineering Foyer, and Collette Bowe Room.
- You can put your poster up any time after 8am on Thursday 5th and Friday 6th September. Your poster can remain displayed for the full two days of the conference if you wish – we will have enough poster boards for everyone.
- Your poster spot will be assigned and marked with your name, abstract ID, and poster ID.
2) Flash Presentations (1-minute):
- We will be compiling all flash presentations into a single document to maximise efficiency between individual presentations. When finalising your presentation, please use a Windows operating system with the following widescreen standard page orientation and size to ensure compatibility (Landscape orientation, Widescreen 16:9 ratio).
- Please do not include embedded videos in your PowerPoint presentation.
- Please provide both the PowerPoint (.pptx) file and a separate PDF file of your presentation as a backup.
- Upload your presentation files by 31 August 2024 to the Dropbox link below, labelled with your flash presentation number and presenter name (e.g. F1_John Doe), which can be found in the programme: https://biomedeng.org/biomedeng24/programme/

3) Oral Presentations, Keynote Presentations, Plenary Debate, & Plenary Presentations:
- Presentation Duration:
- Oral Presentation: 12 mins + 3 mins for Q&A
- Keynote Presentation: 25 mins + 5 mins for Q&A
- Plenary Debate Presentation: 7 mins
- Plenary Presentation: 50 mins + 10 mins for Q&A
- All presentations will be run on a Windows operating system, so please ensure your PowerPoint files (.pptx) are compatible. This includes formatting embedded videos and colour schemes, especially if your presentation was created on an alternative OS.
- Please upload your presentation files by 31 August 2024 to the relevant Dropbox link below, labelled with your presentation number and presenter name (e.g. O1_John Doe, O for Oral, KN for Keynote, PD for Plenary Debate, and P for Plenary Presentation), which can be found in the programme: https://biomedeng.org/biomedeng24/programme/

- There will be a final opportunity to test your presentations in the speaker preparation room GC101 on the 1st floor of the Graduation Centre. Conference helpers will be available to assist you with audio-visual matters and troubleshoot any problems.
- If you encounter any issues uploading your presentation online, please email z.tse@qmul.ac.uk. Alternatively, you may arrange to transfer your presentation to our file system in room GC101 at least 3 hours before your presentation time slot. You will also be given the opportunity to test and preview your presentation here.
Additional Information
Luggage, Storage Items, Chargers
Please carry as lightly as possible during the conference and leave large items or luggage at home or in your hotel.
If you need to charge your laptop or phone, there are plugs and USB ports in Graduate Centre, lunch space and workshop room. Please bring your own cables.
